3rd Album?!! Already? Bullshit!

Ever since our Gruffalo tour ended earlier this month we’ve been beating the living daylights out of our instruments at Midian Studios in Richmond. We’re busy writing for a new album and the songs are coming out faster than ever.

New songs like ‘P-90′, ‘Rocks A Stack’ and ‘Hey Tomorrow, Please Don’t Be Like Today’ are all keepers and give us a bit of an idea of what this 3rd album will sound like.

We will be writing and recording all the way up to the start of the tour we’re doing with The Mission In Motion in May / June. Dates are here but just to clear up any confusion we will only be appearing in Newcastle, Sydney, Woolongong, Adelaide and Melbourne. All our other time will be spent making this new record. Tickets for the shows are available here. We might even try out a few new songs on you.

Yesterday Mark dropped in for a chat with Damon at Triple J Unearthed to talk about all things Jonesez and to play his favorite 3 songs currently on Unearthed. It will all air soon so keep an ear out for that.

We also have a show coming up at Yah Yah’s on Friday April 13 with our friends Hunter. See you there!

That’s been the pattern for the first half of the Gruffalo Tour. Lucky for us we’re all recovering just in time to RAWK!

Today we write to you from The Prince Of Wales in Bunbury. We played the first of our 3 WA shows here last night. Just like all the other shows on this tour, it ruled.

It all finishes up next Friday night in Melbourne at Revolver. We’d love to see you!

Gruffalo Tour starts this week!!

The upside to continually writing two and a half minute pop songs is that our set list always looks bloody enormous, as if we’re going to play until the early hours of the morning. We can assure that’s not the case. The best part about having two records worth of material to choose from means we get to play a shit load of songs and not overstay our welcome.

This is close to what we’ll be playing on the Gruffalo tour but it’ll definitely change before we get to to the first show.

The tour starts this Thursday night in Canberra at The Phoenix Bar. The following night we play Maitland and then Saturday night in Sydney at The Lansdowne. All 3 shows are absolutely FREE ENTRY and we putting together a monster of a set list, lots of songs from both of our records. We also tackle Adelaide, WA and Melbourne in the following weeks and more than anything we’d love to see you at a show.
